Hand Made Herringbone Bricks
- Description:
These very rare hand made herringbone bricks were reclaimed from a Warwickshire residency pathway laid by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown circa 1730.
Unlike most paving, these yellowish bricks are made to be laid with their narrow face upwards, and vary somewhat in size. They are also very slightly tapered, so that if properly laid, they will naturally hold closer together over time thanks to the weight of anything passing overhead.
