A Victorian style fireplace insert, hand cast and finished in iron.

This cast iron fireplace insert is suitable for use with standard solid fuel, although an ash-pan will need to be purchased seperately. It can also be combined with a gas conversion kit, although independent expert advice should be sought on installation.

The fireplace itself is easy to assemble, with the backbox just needing to be attached to the insert with the four bolts provided. The most popular way of setting the fireplace in position is to simply fix into an appropriate surround/mantle, (the cheapest solution is pine). This insert is suitable for the larger, standard surround (please check dimensions).

These cast iron fireplaces are finished in black matt, with detail brushed back to silver. All cast iron fireplaces are prone to rust spots, even from new, but are generally easy to maintain.

We recommend that you polish your fireplace immediately after installation with a product such as Hotspot grate polish. Silver detail should be brushed gently with oil or WD-40. This process should be repeated around once a year, depending on usage.
